Covering roughly 60kms, connecting the city of Mollepata with Machu Picchu, the 5-day Salkantay (Savage Mountain) Trek is an ancient and remote footpath where massive snowcapped mountains collide with lush tropical rain forests, a perfect alternative to the Inca Trail, away form the crowds and richer with natural heritage.

If you’d like todo the optional climbing of Huayna Picchu Mountain at Machu Picchu; and/or if you would like to spend and extra-night at the hotel in Aguas Calientes, to enjoy the thermal baths and a relaxing night, we will be more than happy to arrange any of these for you, at an extra cost.

What to bring…

Make sure you double check with your guide about all departure times; specially, the train ride back to Ollantaytambo.
